Shades of Grey has a new name, Frozen Echo. Ever since we changed our lineup back in February, 2016, we’ve been looking for a new name for the band and we finally came up with one. This Shades of Grey site will remain to reflect the band as it started at League of Rock. We have moved all of the content since the lineup change to the new site, Frozen Echo. That content is being removed from this site to leave just the original League of Rock band and its history.
From left to right in the picture above, you can see Marc, Ted, Karen, Scott, Rick, and Terry.
We recorded the song Take Me Down (official video) by The Pretty Reckless (facebook) in the Audio Valley Recording Studio on Sunday, December 11th, 2016. You can listen to it right here by clicking the Play Audio button below.
Our thanks to the League of Rock for making this happen. For some of us, this was our first time with the League of Rock and others have been through it multiple times. All of us agree that it was a fantastic experience. We highly recommend it. Check it out!
Take Me Down

Shades of Grey at Greenfields
Shades of Grey played at Greenfields on Thursday, December 15th as part of the League of Rock‘s Ottawa session 18 Showcase. All five bands from that session played live. We played first that evening. If you keep watching after our video below, it will link to the next band and so on to the last band of the night.
All the video below was shot by Christopher Paine, a great guy Scott has worked with many times before.
Shades of Grey in the Studio
One of the benefits of joining the League of Rock, in addition to the coaching and live performances, is time in the studio to record a song. We were at the Audio Valley Recording Studio on December 11th, 2016 to record the song Take Me Down (official video) by The Pretty Reckless (facebook). Pictures were taken, of course, and you can see many of them below. You can listen to the song we recorded near the top of this page.
